How Medical Travel Insurance for Coronavirus Works

Seven Corners offers a travel medical plan, called “Liaison Travel PLUS”, that covers COVID-19  testing and treatment up to $100,000 per policy term.

Coverage can take in effect in as little as 24 hours and there’s no medical underwriting, meaning you don’t have to answer any questions relating to your medical history (pre-existing medical conditions are excluded).

You can sign up from as little as 5 days, up to a year.

Why Should You Buy Medical Travel Insurance for Coronavirus?

This COVID-19 Treatment benefit covers up to $100,000* in medical expenses for COVID-19, SARS-Cov-2, and any mutation or variation of SARS-CoV-2. Coverage for other illnesses and injuries is provided up to the medical maximum you select. Liaison Travel Plus also includes $500,000 for emergency medical evacuation and repatriation to transport you to a medical facility with appropriate care, if medically necessary.

We encourage you to ensure you are healthy before you travel. Treatment for COVID-19 is subject to all plan conditions, including the requirements for pre-existing conditions. COVID-19 is not covered if you contract it before your plan begins.

Still not convinced you need medical travel insurance? You should also know your domestic health insurance plan most likely will not cover medical expenses you incur abroad or emergency medical evacuations. On top of that, medical facilities in some countries may require you to pay them before they will treat you.

*The COVID-19 benefit is limited to $50,000 if you select a $50,000 medical maximum.

Liaison Travel Plus is available for travel outside your home country. For non-U.S. citizens, home country is the country where you have your permanent residence. For U.S. citizens, home country is always the United States.

Who Can Buy a Liaison Travel Plus Plan?

Travelers must be at least 14 days old and under 75 years to be covered by this plan. You may buy coverage for yourself, your legal spouse, domestic partner, or civil partner, your unmarried children under the age of 19, and your traveling companions.

Proof of Insurance Cover

We provide “proof of coverage letters” that you will show when entering these countries. Please note this list MAY not be inclusive and can change daily. It’s important to check the entry requirements for the country/ies you are traveling to.
