INDIANAPOLIS (February 12, 2026) – IMG (International Medical Group) announced it has acquired World Nomads, a division of Australian health insurer nib.

With approximately $40 million of gross written premium, World Nomads has been protecting travelers globally since 2002, offering specialized travel insurance products and safety advice.

This acquisition significantly increases IMG’s global travel insurance distribution capabilities and supports further premium growth in several key markets.

IMG now has insurance distribution in 34 countries, including the US, UK, EU, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, and Canada—distributing products to millions of customers across six continents.

“World Nomads is an excellent addition to IMG’s portfolio, extending our global reach, enhancing our product offerings, and expanding our operations to include Australia alongside our offices in the US and UK,” said Will Nihan, Chief Executive Officer of IMG. “We are excited to welcome World Nomads customers to the IMG family and assure them that their coverage and service will continue without disruption.”

This deal follows IMG’s recent acquisition of Assist America, a leading provider of global emergency travel assistance services, producing approximately $20 million in annual assistance revenue.
